First experiments with protoVision

We want to enable Interaction Designers to make rapid prototyping with computer vision. We are developing a couple of small prototypes to explore the possibilities within computer vision. The prototypes send out OSC signals that can be read by multiple programs e.g. processing, puredata and maxmsp. Right now you can download the first prototype from here. It´s running on mac osx and there is a small sample program that works with processing.

Tracking a hand and creating an outline

We managed to get our virus combined with our histogram tracker. This enabled us to use the histogram to find the hand area and use the virus to find the outline of the hand.

No threshold or background-subtraction used.
